## Calling your own customer list

- Call only people who have agreed to hear from you. In the US, the TCPA treats an AI voice as an artificial voice, so marketing calls to mobile and home numbers need the person's prior written consent.

**Which tools does SmartAlex connect to?**
Google Workspace (including Google Calendar), HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Rex, Calendly, Slack, Stripe and Shopify connect directly. Your own systems connect through webhooks, the REST API, or the Connect an API tool, which lets an agent look things up in your systems during a call.

**What happens if the agent cannot answer a question?**
It follows the rules you set. It can take a message, book a callback or transfer the call to a person on your team.
